Attorney General Ustaz Ahmed Usham has stated that during the first session of the People's Majlis, the Attorney General's Office has sent 11 very important bills to the People's Majlis.

Attorney General Usham said this while speaking at the "Ahaa" forum, a series of forums jointly organized by the President's Office and Public Service Media last night.

Attorney General Usham noted that in addition to the 11 bills currently submitted to the People's Majlis, the Attorney General's Office is currently working on submitting about thirty more bills to the People's Majlis during the upcoming sessions of this year.

The Ahaa forum is a platform to share information about the work being done by the government and to answer questions from the public. This is the first time in the Maldives that a series of public forums are being held in this manner where the President and ministers answer questions from the public in real-time.

In addition to Attorney General Usham, four ministers participated in last night's forum. These include Home Minister Ali Ihsan, Education Minister Dr. Ismail Shafeeu, Fisheries Minister Ahmed Shiyam, and Agriculture Minister Dr. Mariyam Mariya.
